This course provides an overview of the programs and policies implemented by governments and international organizations to promote enterprise development. The course focuses on the Philippines, but also covers other countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Topics covered include government policies and programs to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), entrepreneurship education and training programs, access to finance for SMEs, innovation and technology policies, and export promotion programs. The course also examines the role of international organizations in supporting enterprise development in the region. Through case studies, class discussions, and group projects, students will develop an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in promoting enterprise development in the Philippines and other developing countries.
